1) The first thing I did was to hook up the red and black wires to a battery on my work bench and followed the "Getting Familiar with the TW-1000" on page two of the manual. After I was convinced that I knew enough about the alarm to be dangerous I was ready to install the alarm.

2) First was to figure out where I wanted to mount the components. I removed the seat and side panels. Unlike most motorcycles the Roadking has quite a bit of room under the seat. I looked at the installation on this web site of mounting the TW-400 on a 2007 Road king and just about copied it.

3) I mounted the control unit just in front of the battery, between the two wire channels. (Note: before mounting the control unit here, I mounted the siren, it is mounted under the wire channel on either side).

4) In this picture you can see where the siren is mounted, on either side there is a hole in the sheet metal that allows the siren sound to escape.

5) In the picture above you can see where I mounted the antenna, right along side the battery

6) The Perimeter sensor is mounted to the rear of the battery and can also be seen in the diagram above. Try and mount the Perimeter sensor as horizontal as possible.

7) Finally I mounted the High Intensity LED up in front of the gas tank, and just tie wrapped it to an existing wire bindle.

8) As far as wiring the wiring harness I just followed the instructions on the TW-400 installation, since the wiring harnesses are the same. I think the only difference was in my harness the directional signal wires were Blue and Orange and the ignition disable were white/black and black/white that was explained in the manual.

"Well the TW-400 arrived today! The installation was a breeze and it works and performs perfectly!! As a bit of a perfectionist I have to admit that this unit is great!! The best of all possible options! " J.H 9/6/05

"The best thing about this whole experience is that I saved around $300 - $400 or more and got everything I wanted. Easy install took about 3-4 hrs and the pink and grey wire was installed by the guys at my local bike shop for around $20 bucks . This is the alarm to buy. I wish you could read my first review I sent to this site I was so pleased I sent it to the e-mail us instead of the right a review . Don't shop anywhere else This is it.." J. 11/16/06
