| 1)
The first thing I did was to hook up the red
and black wires to a battery on my work bench
and followed the "Getting Familiar with
the TW-1000" on page two of the manual.
After I was convinced that I knew enough about
the alarm to be dangerous I was ready to install
the alarm.
2) First was to figure out where I wanted to
mount the components. I removed the seat and
side panels. Unlike most motorcycles the Roadking
has quite a bit of room under the seat. I looked
at the installation on this web site of mounting
the TW-400 on a 2007 Road king and just about
copied it.
3)
I mounted the control unit just in front of
the battery, between the two wire channels.
(Note: before mounting the control unit here,
I mounted the siren, it is mounted under the
wire channel on either side). |
