5. Alarm Speaker

Picture is a view of the Alarm speaker which is tie wrapped to a frame down tube.
Just below the speaker you can see a group of wires from the Alarm Control Unit to
left rear of the Honda. The RED and WHITE go to the siren, the BROWN for the ACC
12VDC connection and two YELLOW wires for directional signal connections.
The BROWN and YELLOW wires require tapping into the Honda wiring discussed later.
To the left of the speaker notice the PINK and GRAY wires that connect between the
Honda Ignition Module and the coil or kickstand interlock.

6. Alarm Antenna.

The picture is looking at the outside of the rear trunk which is plastic. A small hole can be drilled
anywhere along the seam of the trunk in between the gray frame tubing.
The antenna can be stuck tothe inside top of the trunk with double
sided tape or velcrow.

6. Alarm LED
A visible area for the LED is near the ignition switch. The best way to do this is to remove
the center floor panel. Remove the maintenance cover just under the handle bars. Route
the LED leads along the right side and work them past the coolant inspection panel.
With the maintenance cover removed, use a stiff coat hanger with a small hook on the end
and slide the coat hanger down toward the coolant inspection panel and hook and carefully
pull the leads up to the ignition switch area. Drill a hole in the maintenance cover to the right of the ignition switch slightly smaller than the plastic jacket on the LED. Carefully open the hole until the LED
is a snug fit in the maint. cover. A rat tail file is a good tool for this procedure.
7. Wiring
Honda Helix wire color codes are consistant between the years 1987 and 1998.
With a phillips screw driver remove the rear left lower cover panel.
Just above where the panel was you will find the Honda wire bundle in a vinal tubing.
Carefully slice a 4" opening with a razor or xacto blade. Pull the wire bundle into view.
Connect the leads using 14-16 guage T-taps and spade lugs as follows:

Scooter Leads Alarm
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brown with Blue tracer Tail light Brown Tail light is controlled by the ignition switch.

Orange Left directional Yellow

Light Blue Right directional Yellow

Green/White Kick Stand Switch Pink and Gray

After the alarm system has been tested, seal the above leads against the weather
with Silicone Adhesive.
